We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a communicator and a strong interest in urban development, sustainability, and community issues.

As a communicator at the Exploateringsförvaltningen, you will have a broad and varied role with both operational and strategic content. This position primarily focuses on communication that supports the city's land issues and development projects at various stages. This includes, for example, the implementation of new residential areas, properties for business needs, or public spaces such as streets, squares, and parks. The position is located in the communications unit, department of development and governance. The workgroup has a broad range of competencies and strong internal collaboration, which makes it possible to produce almost everything internally. We also have close communication cooperation with other departments within urban development in the City of Gothenburg.

Responsibilities

Some common tasks include:

• Plan and implement various communication initiatives, both independently and in collaboration with other communicators and functions within the department.
• Analyze the communication needs for various operational projects and areas, continuously monitor the external environment, and evaluate the effects of implemented initiatives.
• Write texts for different target groups and channels.
• Produce presentations and other graphic materials.
• Conduct externally targeted events.
• Be a strategic and operational support to project managers and spokespersons.
• Work on department-wide projects, events, and development areas.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• University degree in media and communication studies, or another university education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Several years of relevant and current experience in qualified communication work, as assessed by the employer.
• Very good stylistic ability and experience as a writer for various channels.
• Good communication strategic competence. Must be able to independently create communication plans, from needs analysis to activity plan.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• Very good digital competence in general, including experience with the most common Adobe programs and Office PowerPoint.

It is also advantageous to have:

• Experience in communication work for development projects or infrastructure projects in the expansion phase, as well as communication related to mobility management.
• Experience in organizing events and larger meetings.
• Experience or education in press and media.
• Skills in graphic design, film production, or illustration-animation.
• Knowledge of ecological sustainability.

As a person, you are results-oriented and creative. You must have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, create overall pictures, and prioritize in daily work. It is also important that you are flexible and can easily collaborate with many people.
